Aviation or even Air transportation refers to the activities surrounding mechanical flight and the aircraft industry. Aircraft, include fixed wing (airplane) and rotary wing (helicopter/autogyro) types, when well as lighter-than-air craft like balloons and airships (also referred to as airship.)
